Yancey: As I prepared to come to this retreat, I knew I needed it but I didn’t know what to expect. After this week, I am walking away with practical tools and encouragement. This retreat has helped me to refocus on the Lord and let Him guide my steps.

Sheila: This retreat came at just the right time for us. We are in a big transition coming off the field as overseas workers and trying to adjust to life here in the U.S. We are shifting from our overseas life and trying to get our feet under us and I’m so thankful for the tools we got from the SonScape retreat that will root us in biblical principles that can guide us in our personal lives, marriage, and in our future ministries. It has been such a good reminder that we need rest in order for us to do ministry (and life) well. It has been a good refresher on who God has made and designed my husband as well as myself. I’m looking forward to implementing the many tools we have been equipped with this week. I have also appreciated having a couple who lived overseas that could relate to our story, some of our trials and understood where we are as a couple who served overseas. I so appreciated their hearts for us and their words of encouragement. I really appreciated the heart behind pampering/spoiling us. It was such a good reminder that we are loved and deserve to be pampered. Thank you for investing in us in this way that we would not have been able to afford had we tried to do that on our own. Being so conscious about ministry budgets and always trying to find the cheapest way to do something cuts out some of the fun when we do get to invest in ourselves. Thank you for investing in us deeply.
