Growing up in India, the Abrahams share similar roots to Ravi. Though not blood relatives, Ravi and Shini’s dad were closer than brothers and served together. Shini grew up hearing their laughter, as well as deep conversations about faith and ministry. Ravi and Margie Zacharias have both played foundational roles in encouraging the Abrahams in their call to ministry and have remained consistent and loving influences in their lives.
In a recent conversation with Ravi, the Abrahams personally shared with him about their involvement with SonScape Retreats. Ravi said to them that along with all its joys, ministry is often filled with deep loneliness, betrayals, and pain, emphatically affirming that pastors and missionaries need to be ministered to. He validated the kind of soul-care ministry SonScape offers as vital to good health in God’s servants, adding that such ministry is “no small thing” and encouraged them to persevere on.
Ravi once said, “Love is the greatest apologetic. It is the essential component in reaching the whole person in a fragmented world.” That is our prayer as we continue to invite faithful servants to experience rest, renewal, and life-change that God brings at SonScape Retreats.
