God taught me once again the importance of being still and allowing Him to work. He put His finger on an area of my life that I didn’t even realize has and still is affecting me. I can now admit that my dad was a functioning alcoholic. This has had an impact on me not only as a child but also has carried throughout my life as “the secret.” I realize that the emotional abuse has had an affect on me. I look forward to traveling this journey and to see how God is going to use this not only in making me free but also using me to help others. I don’t know why it has taken me so long to get to this point but I am trusting the Lord that it is perfect timing and He is going to use it in great ways!

For those of us in ministry, it is very difficult to find a place where we have the confidence that it is a safe place. I found in SonScape not only a safe place but retreat leaders who had the spiritual insight and depth to peel away the layers and get to the root of the issue. I am so thankful for this ministry and will be referring others in ministry to attend.
