We arrived to SonScape tired and discouraged, having lost the joy of ministry. This week left us encouraged and equipped to live and minister in a new way. The daily journal set a great tone for each day and group sessions were rich. But the 1-on-1 time with our retreat leaders brought these truths home for us. Such a great combination of learning formats! At first I was hesitant about committing an entire week, but now I see that a full week was needed to slow me down enough for God to catch up to me. I need intimacy with God more than anything, and SonScape helped me to see my need and how to reorder my life to heal my hurried soul so that I could really live and lead from a place of rest. Thank you!

We have walked through a tremendously hard season of ministry. Coming to SonScape has helped us put a lot of things in perspective. Our time here has refreshed us and renewed the Lord’s call on our lives that we thought impossible. SonScape has been an incredible blessing in our lives.

SonScape was a manifestation of God’s provision and presence. My time here helped me see that I am called to the abundant life and to guide others to the same. It helped me see how my ministry can only flow out of my relationship with God and how my ministry begins with my family because they deserve the best of me. I have also realized how often I act like the outcomes rest on my shoulders. I see how much more freeing it is to leave the outcomes to God. This retreat brings a level of self awareness that everyone could benefit from, and for that I am deeply thankful.
